Day 12

Well, we’re still in Florida – this is our third night at Grayton Beach State Park on the panhandle. We went paddling for a little while today in a lagoon. The days seem to go by with our routine – Jeff takes the dogs for their morning constitutional, then brings me coffee in bed! We just go through our day – we take a long walk, find a local market and stock up on dinner fixings, tend to the van and our campsite – if it’s a traveling day, most of the day is spent on the road. I’ll say one thing – this is a big and beautiful country.

Tomorrow we depart Grayton for Grassy Point, near Milton Florida. We’ve heard the Blackwater River is gorgeous.

All is well. Dogs are good, we’re good… It’s so great not knowing what lies ahead beyond the next day. Nights are cold but days have been sunny and clear.

Stay tuned. We’re almost in Mississippi – should be interesting.
